I hope all our friends that have ridden at West Moto Park this year, and all of you that plan on coming in the new year, had a great and relaxing Christmas break. As I write this I'm sitting back relaxing under the aircon making the most of our time off, thinking about getting back to the park to start on all the new things we have planned.
A lot has happened since my last post. In September we were at the Perth Motorcycle & Scooter Show
at the Perth Convention Centre. We had a great time and met many of you to talk bikes. Steve was a real trooper and spent all three days there. We'd like to thank our friends at www.AdventureCamsHQ.com.au for putting together some great video footage shot at West Moto Park. All in all, a great time.
Also in September we had our Grand Opening on the 26th & 27th with
the arrival of our first four hire bikes from Five Star Yamaha. It was a great couple of days and the bikes got a great workout and performed flawlessly, not that we thought they wouldn't. It was so great that we have decided to have a big gathering at the park every year with special offers, bouncy castle, live music and hopefully some demo bikes for people to take for a rap. It should be a blast so stay tuned.
November and December saw the hot weather, and we were a bit quiet so we did some more track work. Mostly reshaping and making the jumps bigger and better, and a few more berms. We also did some more finishing work on the toilets. Most of the plastering is sorted and its nearly ready for some paint.
December saw the arrival of the steel for the frame work for the cafe/shop. We will start on that in January and hopefully it will move a lot quicker than the toilets, and we'll have it up in a month or two.
We are also have plans to add a free style area and a purpose built race track. This is from listening to all of you out there letting us know what you want to see at West Moto Park. So keep up the emails a phone calls, the more demand the faster things happen. We will also be looking for input into the design of both these areas, so let us know if you'd like to have some involvement.
The water truck should be up and running soon as well to help keep some of the dust down, especially on the quad track. You guys really stir the dirt up!
We've also had a lot of enquiries for a discount membership club to West Moto Park. This is something we had thought about a while ago, and we're putting something together now. More info coming soon.
Finally, some of you may have noticed our website has changed. Global Fusion have given the site a total redesigned under the hood. This will make it easier for us to add News Posts, Photos and Videos way more often, and a lot more easily. Which should make for a much more interesting site. So have a look around and let us know what you think. We will also have some space for advertising. Anyone interested can contact Steve at stephen@westmotopark.com.au for more details.
We've got a busy year ahead of us, and we hope you can all find your way up for a ride sometime. Keep your eye on our events page for our first weekend special of the year, which will be a Family Trail Ride around Stratfield Farm where West Moto Park is located. And we will be taking weekend bookings as usual for the 9th of January onwards.
So get out and ride the wheels off your new Chrissie present (if Santa was that kind to you),
And Remember.... Stay Safe and Stay Dirty!
